Continual Improvement in SGS Petroleum Laboratories
The personnel of the SGS petroleum and multi-laboratories in the Makati, Subic (Zambales) and Cebu offices recently completed the training course, “A Practical Approach to Uncertainty of Measurement,” that was provided by the Philippine Alliance of Laboratory Equipment Users (PALEU), through Dr. Ed Paski. Dr. Paski is an Instructor at British Columbia Institute of Technology in Canada.
The training is part of a series of competency building for laboratory personnel in SGS in the Philippines as well as for the continued compliance to ISO/IEC 17025:2005. During the training, SGS personnel – composed of laboratory managers, supervisors, junior operations executives, and laboratory analysts – received detailed instructions on the establishing rules for interpretation through actual examples but also had valuable discussions on continuous improvement of the management system.
SGS in the Philippines has an accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and is a lifetime member of PALEU.
