We consumers can be very demanding and meticulous when it comes to food. Aside from expecting a scrumptious meal whenever we eat out, try a new restaurant or visit our old favorite diner, we want to be assured that whatever is being served to us is properly and safely prepared.

To protect us from unsafe food products, the country’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA) implemented the Food Safety Act of 2013 (or Republic Act No. 10611), which obliges restaurants, hoteliers and other food establishments to strictly practice proper food handling and promote a food safety culture.

And as the leader in inspection and testing, we at SGS can help you develop and maintain best food hygiene practices in your workplace through our various Basic Food Safety Trainings.

Training your staff and managers on best hygiene practices is an important step in developing a culture of food safety, as well as in complying with the rules and regulations of the Food Safety Act of 2013.

Failure to develop such culture increases the risk of food contamination and the public’s poor health, which can further lead to (1) customer dissatisfaction, (2) potentially huge legal costs and (3) loss of your good reputation and market share.

Let us help you ensure that your organization complies with industry-standard food hygiene regulations, minimize the chances of food contamination or poisoning and protect both your customers and your reputation.
