Responsive Service Towards Customer Satisfaction
In the age of social media where constituents could actually compliment or complain real-time about the services of their local governments, many local executives have worked hard to make their services more responsive and on time.
But only a few have worked harder to secure certification of a Quality Management System. The Municipality of Bocaue in Bulacan is one of the few local government units with certification.
In fact, Bocaue holds the distinction of being the first municipality in Bulacan to be given ISO 9001:2015 Certification.
Bocaue was issued the International Organization for Standardization’s Quality Management System Certification (ISO 9001:2015) last September 7. It had been a little over a year of a journey towards the achievement of this recognition.
Specifically, the certification was for the following: Provision of quality public services, projects, and facilities to its constituents; economic services; social services; finance and procurement; project management, and shared services.
Bocaue’s Quality Policy is clear: “The Municipality of Bocaue is committed in delivering effective and efficient services to its constituents and clients, while meeting their needs as well as statutory and regulatory requirements with the end of continually improving towards good governance.”
For Bocaue Mayor Joni Villanueva, real-time and honest feedback from their constituents are always welcomed with objectivity and hence, must always be addressed. Client satisfaction is of utmost importance.
Being Quality Management System certified, LGU Mayor Villanueva sees to it that everyone in the municipal office significantly contributes to the improvement of customer satisfaction.
