SGS Philippines at the Green Business Forum 2019
SGS Philippines participated at the Green Business Forum, organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
The forum was conducted by DTI through the Export Marketing Bureau’s Emerging Products Division (EMB-EPD), in coordination with DTI Region 7. It was held last November 5 at Golden Prince Hotel & Suites, Cebu City. More than 60 participants attended the event, comprised of MSMEs, Business Support Organizations, and other trade-related government agencies. Agri-products manufacturers were majority of the attendees.
The program was opened by Ms. Minerva Yap of DTI.
SGS Philippines delivered a talk about British Retail Consortium (BRC) Certification. Ms. Claire Sumicad, Certification Sales Executive, discussed how BRC Standards, along with other certification schemes, provide the competitive advantage to Agri-products manufacturers entering export markets with premium-pricing.
