Congratulations to all 31 participants of the inaugural training about Basic Measurement Uncertainty
The new two-day inaugural training (12 CPD units) is designed to give participants the relevant skills and knowledge to apply measurement uncertainty as a requirement of ISO 17025:2017 to laboratory processes.
It takes a practical approach to measurement uncertainty, where learners will be able to comprehend its importance, causes, mitigation techniques and overall application to test methods in order to report test results with correct uncertainty values.
The participants came from organizations such as the Sugar Regulatory Administration, Universal Robina Corporation, Central Affirmative Company (Aficionado), Philippine Resins Industries, Inc.,
American Bio-Clinical Laboratories, Century Pacific Food, Inc., Conlins Coffee World, Inc. among others.
The training was conducted last month by Mr. Steve Janagap, RCh, a Registered Chemist.
Steve is the President of the Integrated Chemists of the Philippines – Panay Chapter, Inc. from 2019-2020. He is an assistant Professor 7 of the Department of Chemistry of UP Visayas and also a graduate of BS Chemistry with a Master’s degree from the same university. He also has a European Masters in Quality in Analytical Laboratories from the University of Barcelona, Spain and the University of Bergen, Norway.
