SGS regularly conducts complimentary webinars to cascade information about the latest developments in the industry.

The quarantine period gave way for more webinars to be conducted by the Certification and Business Enhancement division to its clients. These webinar sessions replaced the Forums that the said division conducts several times a year. The webinars are conducted via the Zoom platform.

The first session conducted was a an Executive Overview about ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems. The said standard is the most popular in the world, across sectors. The webinar focused on how ISO 9001:2015 becomes a tool for business improvement.

One impact of the quarantine on organizations is the execution of audits (internal and external). Many organizations implemented work from home policies, reduced working hours and decreased work shifts. Many organizations had to postpone its audits given the current state of the country. In order to help clients maintain their certification status, despite the health crisis, SGS launched its Remote Audit Services. To ensure that there is alignment on how remote auditing is performed, three webinars were conducted covering the Food, Service and AUTO/EE sectors. Since each webinar was catered to a sector, all questions and clarifications are specific and clients were able to benchmark from each other.

The latest webinars done within the month launched the Recover, Renew, Reinforce initiative. This is a part of an all-inclusive range of Next Normal Solutions to support organizations and business recover from the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The two webinars conducted were for the Service and AUTO/EE sectors. The webinar for the Food sector will be done in early July.

SGS will continue to run webinars to clients and the general public to support its thrust on thought leadership and to ensure that everyone is updated with what’s happening locally and globally.
